Mayuri is a gestural wearable that enhances a speciﬁc head and ear movement for Peacock Dance which is the most famous dance in the Dai Minority area. Peacock dance has a ﬁxed per-forming order. Generally, it starts by presenting the scene of a peacock leaving its nest, ends by bathing in the fountain, shaking off water drops on its body, spreading out its gorgeous feather and extending wings in ﬂight. With graceful and dainty postures as well as subtle emotional expression, peacock dance is a crystallization of the wisdom of the Dai people.
The wearable simulates the shape of the peacock feather, the texture, the shadow of feather movement and how peacock feather structured. This is a wearable for Peacock Dance that can reﬂect their respect for peace, honesty and beauty.
